The HANDYMAN CAN
Welcome, and Thank you for visiting TheHandymanCanColorado.com.
My training for "The HANDYMAN CAN" started in 1982 when my father Russell decided the best way for me to spend my school vacations was to help him on the various construction sites on which he was working. As you can imagine, this was not my idea of fun at all! He kept me hard at work, bribing me with Star Wars toys and Bicycle parts. I never would have imagined how this experience would be beneficial later in life.
Once I turned 16 I was so excited to get another job so I didn't have to go with my father every morning to a construction site. I decided to try the restaurant business. The day I turned 16, I got a job at a local restaurant bussing tables and washing dishes. After a few years, I moved on to the pizza business delivering, and managing, then moving on to owning my own pizza place. The pizza business was great although it was difficult interacting with my guests over the phone rather than in person. I desired face to face interaction, so decided to return to casual dining. I worked with one restaurant group for 12 years as General Manager, then another for 2 years as General Manager. Throughout my food service career, I spent a lot of my time on the phone finding reliable people to fix different things in my restaurants that were broken. It didn't take me long to realize that it took me less time to just fix it myself.
And then it came to me: Why not do just that? So I took the jump!
"THE HANDYMAN CAN" officially opened for service in May 2010. I realized that throughout my lifetime, when someone couldn't fix something, I could, hence our slogan, "Can't fix it yourself? Don't worry, THE HANDYMAN CAN." The decision to make a career change, while not always easy, often provides an opportunity to combine livelihood with passion. I thrive in an environment where I can talk to people, help solve problems, make someone's life a little easier, and fix things that are broken. My customers will find that I am prompt, honest, responsive and friendly. Serving my customers as a handyman allows me to match my passions with your problems. You have my word that I will take all of my experience in construction including tile, cabinetry, flooring, bathroom repair, closet organization, dents and dings, texture, fixtures, doors and jams, ventilation, pass-throughs, countertops, power washing, fencing, decks, painting, basement remodel, minor plumbing and electrical work, and other general services.
So remember, when you can't fix it yourself, don't worry, The HANDYMAN CAN.
